Leo van Hemert appointed CEO of Mastervolt in North America
Amsterdam, August 10th 2007. Mastervolt, world leader in the supply of electrical power solutions to the global yachting-, professional marine-, mobile-, and solar markets, announces the apointment of Mr. Leo van Hemert to the position of Chief Executive Officer of its North American operations based in Baltimore MD.
Subsequent to the decision late 2006 to revise the set-up of Mastervolt in North America and move the operations centre from Thomaston, ME to Baltimore, MD, Leo van Hemert has closely assisted the transition in a consulting role. Following successful completion of the transition process a new CEO position was created. Given Leo’s wealth of experience in the North American leisure marine industry (mainly obtained during his many years at Vetus), we are delighted that he has now agreed to join the Mastervolt team in a senior management role. In his new position, Leo assumes responsibility to further manage the rapidly increasing customer base across North America in terms of sales and service. As CEO of Mastervolt Inc. Leo reports directly to Paul Kenninck, President and CEO of Mastervolt in Amsterdam.
