A new generation of isolation transformers is born. Mastervolt are proud to announce the new Mass GI isolation transformer based on switch-mode technology. Many years of engineering experience with this technology applied for battery chargers and sine wave inverters has contributed to this revolutionary new approach.

Ultra light weight and extremely small
This Mastervolt isolation transformer will help preserve your valuable boat and provides you with security through a correctly earthed AC power system. The Mass GI protects the electrical system against galvanic corrosion and is the ultimate component to isolate and protect sensitive & expensive equipment from noisy electrical system grounds, ground loops, power line spikes and other power line disruptions.

The Mass GI is extremely compact and ultra light: 75% weight and 60% volume reduction is achieved compared to traditional isolation transformers. Besides these reduction advantages the days of humming and vibrating traditional isolation transformers are finally over.

Optional parallel coupling
The Mass GI power rating is 3,5 kW continuous and accepts every voltage from 90 up to 255V. Suitable for 120V and 230V AC systems, its capacity of 16A/3.5 kVA per unit can be parallel coupled for more power needs. Two 16A/3.5 kVA units correspond to 32A/7 kVA; three units to 48A/10.5 kVA etc. This all-in-one product includes integrated Soft Start for managing the current resulting from connection to the shore, an indication for power and diagnostics as well as an over current protection. An alarm contact is available for the on board alarm and monitoring system and can be used to start the generator in case shore power is limited.

The Mass GI will be available early 2006 and will be displayed at the Europort Maritime exhibition (stand no. 216), METS (stand no. 2.321) and all upcoming major international shows.
