An ocean crossing record
Mark Byass and Mike Sayer have both always invested a great deal in charitable work and recently decided to work together on larger sponsor projects. One of the first fruits of their cooperation is Project ‘Torpedalo’. The goal is to cross the Atlantic in a pedal-powered boat. In order to break the current world record, Mark and Mike have to make the crossing in 38 days.
Both men work in the development department of Bentley Motors and are experienced in working with the latest materials and technologies. Their boat will be entirely made of carbon fibre and is being especially developed for their adventure. Mark and Mike will embark on their epic journey in December 2011.
All proceeds of this project will go to the MNDA (Motor Neurone Disease Association) and Make Wise foundation. Mastervolt is pleased to be one of Mark and Mike’s sponsors.
