New Transformerless inverter in 30 kW

Mastervolt has expanded its transformerless CS inverter series and at Intersolar 2011 will present a new three-phase inverter with an output of 30 kW. The Sunmaster CS30 will be the most compact inverter in its power class. The design of its housing matches that of the successful CS20, which won the prestigious iF product design award in 2010. As with all Mastervolt devices, the CS30 also meets German requirements on the reactive power provision of inverters.

The CS30 has a high efficiency of  >98,1%. Two MPP trackers and a wide input voltage range (1000 V) make the device remarkably versatile, allowing it to be employed in the most diverse projects. The inverter is equipped with an IP65-rated electronics compartment, which makes it suitable for outdoor installation and offers optimum protection against water and dust. A clear graphic display, with built-in 365-day data logger, furnishes performance information and data.

The CS30 comes with a watertight AC plug for quick, flexible installation. Integrated carrying handles and a bracket for wall mounting mean that safe, easy installation is guaranteed. Moreover, the ventilation module can be removed, making it easy to clean.

The standard CS30 is compatible with all types of crystalline PV modules and some new types of thin film modules. When equipped with an optional transformer in a protective housing, it is also suited to use with all amorphous and thin-film systems.

In addition to the new CS30, Mastervolt has also revamped its CS20 and CS15 models. Here, by decreasing the number of components, the complexity of the devices has been consistently reduced to allow the reliability of the inverters to increase further.
