String inverters with a high annual yield

Mastervolt inverters are designed to maximize annual yield under realistic conditions. In addition to perfect performance under normal conditions, you can expect the best possible energy capture – even in less favourable conditions.
The SunMaster ES is developed based on Mastervolt’s unique philosophy, the result of 20 years of solar experience. In addition to maximum efficiency, we focus on high yields in less than optimal conditions. As a result the SunMaster ES has various exclusive features:

• By starting up at optimal voltage, the SunMaster ES extends the solar day, while its low no-load consumption helps convert solar power down to the last ray of sun.
• The SunMaster ES is immune to minor electricity failures and only goes offline when absolutely necessary.
• The MPP tracker tracks the light conditions quickly and carefully to achieve a considerably higher annual yield. Tests – in realistic conditions – show that 99.8% of the available PV power is converted!
• The inverter can track the optimal operating point, even in shaded conditions.
• Cable losses reduced by up to 75% compared to conventional inverters.
• The non-isolated SunMaster ES achieves a stable and high conversion efficiency, even in changing weather conditions.
• The SunMaster ES stays cool, even in warm outside temperatures, maximising efficiency and lifespan.

Fast installation and ease of use

Ease of use for both user and installer are key product features for Mastervolt. A clear graphic display with daily yield and a 30-day energy log provide the vital information you need about the operation of your PV system. The improved Optima Cooling system guarantees cool and efficient operation of the inverter and low noise, while the IP65 electronics housing provides optimum protection against moisture and dust. This makes the SunMaster ES suitable for both indoor and outdoor installation.
For a fast and flexible connection, the SunMaster ES comes with a waterproof plug and an integrated DC switch for optimum safety. Mounting is easy thanks to the robust, integrated handles and a mounting bracket. Another highly practical feature is the communication cassette, which can be partly taken out from the inverter.

Flexible and communicative

The SunMaster ES works with any type of solar panel, including the latest thin film technologies*. The high input voltage and extensive operating range simplify the system design and reduce losses, while the reliable RS485 interface allows the inverter to be combined with a wide range of monitoring products. The inverter is also equipped with an Ethernet connection for network integration.

* Certain types of thin film panels require functional earthing. If such cases Mastervolt recommends its SunMaster XS inverters with HF transformer.

Reactive Power settings

Depending on local regulations, utilities may require provision of reactive power. The SunMaster ES models are fully prepared for the German low voltage directive VDE-AR-4105. This feature will be activated when the corresponding country is selected during commissioning.
