 To strengthen our team in Amsterdam we are looking for a:

 Quality, Health & Safety manager  
To partner with our team to drive our Quality, Health and Safety


We feel responsible for the electrical systems of our customers which they use to go on holiday with a camper or boat or they use to earn their money with. For example, a utility vehicle or a food truck. We take care that they always can continue their holidays or earn a living in a smooth and easy way. This requires continuous improvement and adaptation of our business processes. It is our corporate culture to think and connect. Examples of topics in which you will have an important role are: management systems and the ISO certifications, daily product quality cases, audits, Health & Safety, “Lean” and other improvement projects.


Your responsibilities include:

Safety:

  • Promote a positive health and safety culture across the business;
  • Chairman of the HSSE committee and Departmental Safety Teams;
  • Monitoring and developing Health & Safety performance within the business;
  • Development, management & maintenance of a Safety Management System; 
  • Complete accident investigations, risk assessments, provide & develop training.

is an innovative, successful company based in Amsterdam and a proud member of the U.S. based Brunswick Corporation.

We are engaged in the development and the worldwide sales/marketing of high quality reliable electrical power systems for autonomous use in Marine, Mobile and Industrial markets.

Advanced Systems Group EMEA offices are located in Amsterdam (HQ), United Kingdom, Germany and France, and has a global network of distributors and dealers in over 80 countries.

With an operational base in Amsterdam we represent the Mastervolt brand with a global responsibility and we represent 11 other unique brands from within the Brunswick Corporation in EMEA. These brands are Ancor, Attwood, BEP, Blue Sea Systems, CZone, Garelick, Lenco, Marinco, MotorGuide, ProMariner and Whale.


Process improvement:

  • Continuous improvement by identifying where (process-) improvements can be made;


ISO/Quality Audits:

  • maintain / update ISO 9001 policy and management system for quality assurance;
  • Preparation for, and facilitation of, all other external audits as required;
  • Management of and participation in internal and external audit team(s).


Compliance:

  • Control of legal standards (eg WEEE, REACH) and coordination with regulatory bodies where required;
  • Monitor product quality levels and potential follow-up issues;
  • Monitoring non-compliance reports from suppliers;
  • Periodic surveys of customer and other stakeholder satisfaction;
  • Provide regular reports to include KPI’s relating to Quality, H&S and processes.


Clearly you share commitment and ambition to Quality, Health and Safety in cooperation with our U.S. based headquarters. You will ensure to communicate this commitment throughout the organization.


Profile
The ideal candidate is a partner in business who can translate quality into daily practice with a customer-oriented focus. You take initiatives, supervise projects and you do not hesitate to do some of the implementation yourself. You are a real influencer, have impact and are able to connect people.


Other requirements

  • Bsc plus level in a technical direction;
  • Additional training such as Lean, ISO 9001, quality management;
  • Experience in a similar function;
  • Experience with management systems and business processes;
  • Knowledge of ISO9001 standards and risk management;
  • Project management skills; 
  • Experience with Health and Safety related topics
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language.
