Our core competence is power electronics. We have an extensive product portfolio and develop products such as  Li-Ion batteries, converters and inverters. Our engineers are involved in the complete development process, from first concept, design, proto-typing, testing up too sustaining engineering.

Now we are working hard on the next generation of battery chargers and inverters. The demand for more electrical power solutions is huge. We have a testing lab with a broad range of testing equipment to create more electrical power solutions. Our engineering team consists of 23 engineers (electrical engineering hardware design, embedded software development and mechanical design) . We collaborate with engineers from our sister companies and manufacturing suppliers.

Software Engineer

with a track record in C++

As software engineer you will work in an international team of about 5 software engineers which focuses on electric power conversion and management products that cooperate as a system through CAN communication. The focus of this position will be on improving the Windows tool that is used to configure the products within the Mastervolt Brand. The team is located in Amsterdam and New Zealand, as part of the R&D department that is developing both hardware and software for maritime, mobile and industrial markets. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Compiles and documents technical specifications needed for these software features
  • Implements features of the software by writing code including automated software testing (test driven development)
  • Ensures that the software is functionally tested (debugging) and ready for product release
  • Maintaining existing systems by bug fixing, implementing product enhancements, and implementing updates. 
  • Structured in way of working, creating software that is robust and maintainable

Required Capabilities

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. level education in embedded programming or comparable 
  • 2 years of relevant experience in software development 
  • Experience with Windows based application (like Visualstudio)
  • Knowledge of .Net/C++
  • Knowledge of Qt or C is a plus 
  • You are able to program to Tiobe Quality Indicator level C 
  • Experience with CAN communication is a nice to have 
  • Your working style is solution oriented and pragmatic  
  • Technical level English is required, Dutch is a pre, 
  • You like the challenge of international cooperation within a software team 
  • You are resident in the Netherlands.
