Isolation Transformers

You need to be careful when introducing shore power on board, for safety reasons and to protect your yacht, especially if she is made of aluminium or steel.

An inadequate configuration of your on board system can result in electrolysis, leading to slow but sure corrosion of the metal components. A Mastervolt isolation transformer will help preserve your valuable boat and provide you with security through a correctly earthed AC power system.


   Soft Start & Transfer Systems Soft Start, included with Mastervolt transformers up to 4.5 kVA, is an automatic switch that manages the current resulting from connection to the shore. A Transfer System ensures that the shore voltage is correctly adapted and means that a 230/240V installation will work without problems when connected to a 120V shore power point.
